EVENT DESCRIPTION

SeriesOut of the Box ShowME!Date24th October 2000DescriptionME! was a public exhibition featuring the self-portraits of children. These artworks celebrated the individual and were displayed across Brisbane including at the Queensland Performing Arts Complex, South Brisbane Station and the City Mall.

Over 500 children aged between 3 and 8 years old participated in workshops before the festival opened. These children worked with professional artists to develop their self-portraits and could either take their portrait home or contribute their artwork to the exhibition.

Over the course of the festival, daily workshops were held so that children could continue to add their self-portraits to the exhibition. ProducerPlaystationSunday MailVenueQueensland Performing Arts CentreDonated byTransferred from QPAC Archives
